Did you also grow up thinking that self care was selfish? I did. And for most of my life, any time the focus was on me, I felt so much shame and discomfort.

I was way more comfortable with putting the focus on others.

…The funny thing was that putting the focus on others still left me constantly obsessing about me, which just made me feel even more guilty!

So then I was depriving myself and still feeling guilty…No fun.

Can you relate?

Do you struggle with having inconsistent self care?

If you do then you might also relate to planning to self care but then something else always coming up that prevents you from actually taking time for you?

Perhaps you stay up way too late, push your body past the point of exhaustion, overwork, overeat, overextend yourself, spend time obsessing and worrying or alternate between caffeine and sleeping pills just to function?

If any of that used to happen for you or still does, I want you to know that you are so not alone.

95% of the women I talk with struggle with having consistent self care.

Which is why when my dear friend Anahita Joon told me that she has a free Master class series starting Oct 5th called The Art Of Receiving, and asked me to contribute a master class training on the Art Of Self Care, I was so in!

If you want to check it out you can get the whole series for free by clicking the link below:

I used to think self care was just a matter of having better time management. But when I finally got honest with myself, I had to admit that I was avoiding self care.

Part of that was straight up guilt, part of that was not feeling deserving and part of that was that I didn’t actually know how to self care.

I mean, I knew that things like getting sleep, drinking water and having a massage we types of self care, but I didn’t know how to go from my chaotic way of doing life to all of a sudden self caring without feeling guilty about it.
