Let’s get one thing straight, fat’s not a feeling.
I say that as a woman who “felt fat” for most of her life, regardless of the number on the scale.
If you can relate, let’s talk about what’s really going on when you “feel fat.”
Feeling fat is a default.
It’s where we go when to feel, or get real, about what’s REALLY going on underneath that is either too painful or uncomfortable.
Feeling fat was my default for when I felt inadequate in some way….not good enough, not smart enough, not fun enough, not thin enough…
Or too much. Too intense, too needy, too complicated, too high maintenance, too big…
I’d compare myself with other women and all of a sudden feel disgusting and gross.
